Author’s note: Even as a young teen, I was fascinated with the erotic and sexual tones in poetry. I blame romance novels. Particularly one’s with Fabio-like models on the cover and scantily clad women. A warning to more gentle souls than I, this gets a bit suggestive.
In your eyes I see desire,
burning like liquid blue flames,
blistering my body
with your fiery kisses.
Why do you torture me so?
With lips that sear skin,
leaving trails of fire
that burn my already steamy skin.
Why is it I let you into my body?
Plunging and delving . . .
into the very core of soul.
Your hair cools my hot skin,
leaving my body hungry for more.
Your breath scorching me
like dragon’s flame,
your wings engulf me.
Within my belly,
your flame burns me
like a raging inferno,
and I am breathless for more.
Why is it I love you?
When you scald me with desire
burn me with lust
and sear me with passion.
