For long,
Have I lived.
For eternity,
I have suffered.
What I must endure,
Is what humanity causes.
For I am,
The mother of all things.
I am the earth,
You trod upon with mindless feet.
And I am the plants,
That feed the creatures.
I am the brook,
That bubbles and trickles its story to all.
I am the river,
That rages until it reaches its lover the sea.
You, the children of earth,
Know me as the sky.
That endless sapphire,
Warm with the sun.
You know me
As the wind
That whistles through
The trees that are also me.
Know me as I am,
Remember me as I was.
For as you live on,
So do I.
Yet while you change,
As do I.
Yet I will never die,
As you do.
But as I never die,
I never really live either.
But I feel,
And I love.
So as you live and die,
I love you,
My children,
For I am your mother.
Your Mother, Earth.
