An unearthly song,
Breathing forth
From the depths of the emerald forest.
A talking creek,
Like a forbidden sea,
Whispers secrets of long past.
A fairy flute
Weaves in and around
The voices of the leaves
Rustling softly in the floating wind.
Hoof beats like many heartbeats
Pound out upon the earth.
Whiteness as pure as innocence.
A ringing neigh shatters the stillness
And a creature moving like water
Pierces the endless ocean of green.
With its ethereal loveliness
A legend, a hope, a miracle.
Waiting to burst forth
Into the waiting arms of a child.
