Dreaming,
I must be dreaming.
For I thought love
was forbidden to me.

Yet here you are,
wiping away my tears,
healing my pain,
abolishing my fears.

Many questions I have,
especially as to why,
but to ask them
would be unfair to you.

For you are here,
with me,
loving me,
sleeping beside me.

I am filled with a happiness
so clear and light.
It is strange to feel this
When so long was I in silent darkness.

I am amazed my wish,
my dream,
finally became life,
how you became my reality.

Here you are,
with me,
lying here beside me,
loving me.

For once,
I am complete.
I know whom I love,
who I am.

With your appearance
in my life,
I now stand on a pillar of strength,
a stability to lean on.

I now can focus outwards
on my other dreams.
With you here finally,
I am free.

Free of the bindings
that kept me from myself,
that kept me
from becoming someone.

All I have to give
is my love in return.
All I can say to you
is thank you.
