0270 Envy [22 July 1999]

Save me,
from my sorrow.
Keep me,
from destruction.

I am so lonely,
that I feel lost,
like I live
in a black hole.

The light of love
that brightens
the darkest of men’s faces
hasn’t found mine yet.

I wander
without love to guide me.
Endlessly and non-exhausting,
I search for a glimpse.

Envy do I feel
for those
whose faces shine
with the light of love.

I wait,
Patiently,
and not so patiently,
for love to find me.
