I look into your eyes
to see the smile there
my heart aches for you
when you are near me
it cries out in anguish
that I can never have you
you’ll never hear it though
I won’t let you
you must go your own way
choose your own road
while I choose mine
I look and seek
my own true love
but I wonder who it could be
or if I’ve already passed him by
I don’t even know what love
should actually feel like
but I know that you
are one of many
who have entered my life surreptitiously
and you won’t be the last
but with you goes
a piece of my heart
a tiny one
but a piece nonetheless
so the rest of my heart
is saved for the right one
the right man I’ll love forever
