have you ever wanted
something so much
that your heart aches
because what you want
is not there?
because what you want
is what you need
to survive
the world as it is.
I have
constantly craving
that something
that would complete my soul
that would nourish my starving heart
and leave me satiated
instead of emaciated
can I have you?
whoever you are
to you I would give everything
from my heart to my soul
all the love in me
would be yours
just save me
from this constant hunger
this never-ending desire
touch me so I could know
that you exist
that you are real flesh and blood
not a figment of dream
I have so much in me
never brought to light
left in the chambers of my heart
a love that would be purely yours
untouched, wanting only you
all whom I’ve claimed to love before
have been visions of you
the love I thought I felt for them
was for you
because they could not hold any fire
brighter than that of yours
they were just candles
to your sun
so just love me
for I am yours
give me your heart
I will protect it
give me your soul
I will nourish it
and everything you do for me
in return,
I will do the same
