It is morning where I sit,
yet I cannot seem to forget
that smile on your face
as we said our goodbyes
“Sayonara,” you said,
“Farewell for a while,
I’ll see you soon.”
If I could hear you speak once more,
then I would forgive you anything,
just to see you again.
You left me here all alone,
with only goodbye to keep me warm.
If only I had gone with you,
maybe things might have been different.
I cannot change the past,
nor could I change your mind.
I only hope that you will return,
just as you said.
