What is the life we’re living now?
Daily do images from all forms of media
portray how society has turned away
from the community mentality that
if all are well so is the individual.
It has turned on the “all for one, One for all”,
throwing it aside into the cesspool of disregard,
displaying an apathy so grim
that if a god really did exist,
they would weep at what we have become.
Nations of borders, prejudices, ignorance,
are rising out of the ashes of the wars
fought decades previously against such cultural illness.
What have we become?
The very demons our forefathers
sought to dismantle.
