I see into his eyes
lost in their depths
glimpsing all that awaits me
to find out over eternity
his soul blinks back at me
trusting me to not break his heart
believing in me
like no other has before
my heart aching to be with him
to look into his eyes
once more
to see the home
that it will reside in
as soon as I let go
of everything I hold onto
to keep him from resting his heart
home in my soul
I close my eyes
fighting against the pull
of my hungering heart
the urge to feel
to have the freedom
to feel all it can
for its missing half
found in a moment of fate
I look once more
the walls begin to crumble
they fall
as his lips descend towards mine
and in his eyes
his soul speaks to mine
reassuring me
as his mouth locks with mine
that he will never break
what is half his
